Signs of spring?

Last winter Juneau experienced one of the most memorable winters in history. Record amounts of snow blanketed the area. And while snowsports enthusiasts loved it - others were praying for the weather to break. It finally did as April ended.

This year we've experienced a seemingly "normal" winter - or so I hear. Even so, I'm ready for warmer weather, longer days and some sun.

So Bali and I headed into the woods behind our house and found a few hints that spring might be just around the corner. And while these aren't the typical tulip and cherry blossom images I'm used to seeing, I'm pretty sure these little hints are Alaska's way of saying the sun is here to stay.
