Signs of spring?

Last winter Juneau experienced one of the most memorable winters in history. Record amounts of snow blanketed the area. And while snowsports enthusiasts loved it - others were praying for the weather to break. It finally did as April ended.

This year we've experienced a seemingly "normal" winter - or so I hear. Even so, I'm ready for warmer weather, longer days and some sun.

So Bali and I headed into the woods behind our house and found a few hints that spring might be just around the corner. And while these aren't the typical tulip and cherry blossom images I'm used to seeing, I'm pretty sure these little hints are Alaska's way of saying the sun is here to stay.

As promised...

Yes, yes...I know...folks have been asking to see these for awhile now. So, here ya go. I must admit I'm not a big fan of posting my expanding belly on the internet for all to see, but what the heck. Here you have it.
These were taken at 23 weeks, just one week shy of 6 months. "Little" is still kicking like a maniac and I love it. David says the little one's in there doing backflips, 360-grabs and other extreme skiing tricks. I'm pretty sure the babe just found a toe or something and is all excited about it.
We'll post more as I grow!
